While social media has only reecently become part of mainstream culture and the business world, it really isn't new. People have been using digital media for networking, socializing, and information gathering for over thirty years. From the first email to the domination of Facebook, social media has come a long way. Social media allows us to take part in new innovative ways to communicate and interact with one another. Furthermore, it creates simplicity in our lives so that we can spend more time focusing on things of greater importance. Social Media is being embraced by children as well as adults. It is being used in homes, in classrooms, and in businesses. It is the NEW CRAZE that is sweeping the nation. Even though social media is fun and interesting, it has it pros and cons.
